NZANLP Professional Development

NZANLP Professional Development Requirements


All Professional Members are required to complete 15 hours of Professional Development per membership year.  A maximum of 6 of those hours may take the form of online interactive learning.


The membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

Members at all levels are encouraged to engage in the benefits of ongoing Professional Development.

NZANLP Professional Development Criteria

Professional development must be related to the NLP modalities you use, or directly support your professional application of NLP. For example, hypnotherapy training if you use hypnotherapy as a modality, teacher training if you are a teacher.


Types of PD included are:

  • NZANLP Professional Development days (presented 3-4 times a year)

  • NLP related Workshops

  • Assisting on Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Trainer Certification Courses (5 hours may be logged for a full day assisting)

  • Organised NLP Study Groups where there is a prescribed learning objective

  • NLP Conferences

  • Ongoing NLP Training

  • Online Interactive Learning (up to 6 hours may be logged each year)

Maintaining your PD Log
Please maintain your PD log here.


Certificates of Attendance
Please retain attendance records (e.g. Certificates of Attendance) including hours completed. NZANLP may ask to see copies of these.


Self-directed learning
In addition to logging PD that meets NZANLP criteria, we encourage you all to increase your skills and knowledge with self-directed learning.


This may include:

  • Reading

  • Research

  • Writing

  • Online study

  • Webinars

  • DVDs

  • Audio presentations
