Training
NLP is the study of the structure of subjective experience.
In the course of learning you will:
- Acquire a comprehensive model of the complex world of human behaviour and communication.
- Explore the distinctions that provide a way to code and understand how people do what they do to create their own unique experience.
- Open up the opportunity to restructure experience remove limitations and create new choices.
- Learn the use of NLP skills and intervention techniques to create change.
- Obtain a set of extremely effective communication models and learn specific transmissible skills which make high quality communication accessible to all.
- Discover a range of tools for sharpening perception, changing behaviour patterns and increasing effective interactions in business, personal and therapeutic contexts.
Training Levels
There are different levels of NLP qualifications recognised by the NZANLP
Practitioner
A practitioner must have undergone training led by a Certified NLP Trainer or a certified NLP Master Practitioner under the supervision of a trainer (usually a minimum of 130 hours). The practitioner must be able to demonstrate ability to identify basic NLP skills, techniques, patterns and concepts and utilise them competently with them self and with others.
Master Practitioner
A Master Practitioner must have first achieved recognition as a Practitioner (see guidelines above). In addition a Master Practitioner must have completed advanced training taught by a Certified Trainer (usually 130 hours) and a minimum of an additional 15 hours direct trainer supervision.
Trainer
A Trainer must have completed a minimum of 130 hours of training and passed the appropriate examination. In addition a trainer must have achieved recognition as a Practitioner and Master Practitioner (see above) and in addition have completed a minimum of 130 hours teaching or assisting in Practitioner Training in order to be endorsed to do Practitioner Trainings and have completed a minimum of 130 hours teaching or assisting in Master Practitioner certification trainings in order to be endorsed to do Master Practitioner Training. A minimum of 12 hours supervision by two Fellows from two different NLP organisations is also required.

The NZANLP Regisration Board will maintain a list of Trainers who provide trainings that meet NZANLP criteria.
